Our run hipster is an understated yet technical workhorse ready for the rigours of everyday training and race day. The key is how it functions while running for differing strides and for a long period of time. With a power fabric banded leg, you'll get comfort and a no ride up. Waistband can be folded down or left up over the hips for ladies who like a little more support.
Please note feedback suggests that for most women these fit true to size, however some report that these run on the smaller side so if you sit on the upper side of the size chart you may need to size up. Please email us for a personalised fit consult if you're unsure :-)

Our run shorts are perfect for improving endurance and minimising muscle soreness, providing the ideal balance of support and comfort.

If you love your FOHER it will love you right back! Follow these steps to keep your kit in tip top shape:
- If not washing immediately, rinse then air before washing.Β
- Suncream, chamois cream, sweat and energy/hydration producs play havoc with lycra, rinse!!
- Turn printed garments inside out to wash.Β
- Wash on sport or gentle cycle in cold water or water up to 30 degrees Celsius.Β
- Only use a sportswash or gentle detergent.Β
- Avoid excessive abrasion eg. check edges of hydration packs or run belts for sharp points, avoid sitting on rough surfaces, check rub sports on your saddle etc.
- Wash like with like, use washbag for fine garments like cycle jersey's, fasten zips, remove velcro or place in separate wash bag.Β
- Do not use fabric softeners.Β
- Air dry in the shade.Β
- Use steam or a sports wash like Canesten to eliminate odours.

HOW TO TAKE YOUR MEASUREMENTS
Grab your tape measure, make sure it is held flat, not twisted and always make sure that it is held firmly, not cutting in or squashing the area you are measuring. Β Please take the measurements below and compare them to the size chart to find the size that is right for you. Β
Taking your measurements whilst naked will give you your exact measurements, but if you intend wearing a garment (like a sports bra under your trikit), then take your measurements with those garments on.
CHEST/BUST βΒ Place tape measure around the fullest and widest part of your bust (usually the part with the nipples!) Be careful not to let the tape measure slip down at the back, or squash you.Β
WAIST βΒ Place tape measure between the bottom of your ribs and the top of your hip bones (the easiest way to find your waist is to stand in front of front of a mirror and suck your tummy in hard - you should see it!). It's also usually theΒ narrowest part of your natural waistline.
HIP β Place the measuring tape around the fullest, widest part, usually over your bottom or at the top of your thighs between your hips and thighs.
HEIGHT β In bare feet, stand against a wall and mark the point perpendicular to the top of your head. Measure up to this point from the floor.
These measurements do not include ease, which is the amount of extra space allowed in a garment for comfort and movement. The amount of ease added can greatly differ depending on the fit of the garment.Β

Iβm a big fan of the run hipsters but the waistband always (always!) rolls down, creating a little shelf for my belly fat. Not the body accent I was looking for. I followed the advice of Foher and went a size up for these hipsters, to no avail. Anyone else getting a tummy shelf?

On the plus side, we love that our run shorts are the 'ONLY running shorts I've ever owned that don't ride up, don't give me camel toe, and don't chafe'! Hope it's ok to share that here ;-)
To your review...as you found these fitting on the small side, sizing up could definitely help with the tightness you're experiencing at the waist (some ladies did report the Coral Reef as fitting on the small side). You could also try folding the waistband down which might help to reduce the compression across the lower belly. For some women, when the waistband is worn high it can sit right across the softest part of the abdomen, the exact place where the 'shelf' forms. Folding the waistband down might move the seam below that point, which means less pressure on the tummy and less 'shelfing' over the top. Folding the waistband over can also change how the fabric anchors, as it then becomes a little thicker and firmer, which can make it feel more secure and reduce the chance of rolling down and may prevent the top edge digging into the tummy. For some women this might help everything sit a bit flatter and help achieve a smoother look. We note you've also purchased the longer Game Changers, how do those feel at your waist, given the adjustable waist band? x Kylie and the FOHER Team

Wore my coral reef hipsters for the 1st time last Sunday for a fun run down in Dover (south Tasmania).
This fun run is a fundraiser for the peadeatric ward at the RHH in Hobart Tasmania for our sick children.
So felt proud to do this and my hipsters were also for a good cause for our Coral Reef.
